RFID or radio-frequency identification: it sure is a mouthful, but what is it really? A RFID wallet protects you from so-called skimmers: people who can use a pocket reader to read all your cards remotely as you walk past them. This way, they can steal money and data from you undetected and activate and clone your cards without you noticing.
Most importantly, RFID chips are in your bank card and identity card. They make payments and identification contactless and therefore much easier. But they also make us more vulnerable to theft. A RFID wallet blocks the intrusive radio waves with a thin layer of aluminium. That way, you and your cards are safe!
