By the way, your skis have even more to do with flying than you might think as you fly down the slopes. Founder Howard Head was an aircraft manufacturer. After watching beginners repeatedly struggle with the wooden skis of the time, he developed skis made of wood, aluminium, and plastic using his knowledge of aerospace construction.
