With a GPS, you’ll never walk, cycle or drive the wrong way again. GPS devices come in all shapes and sizes these days. You can opt for a dedicated hiking GPS that you attach to the shoulder straps of your backpack. Or you can buy a shock- and water-resistant cycling GPS that you attach to your handlebars. Or how about a sports watch with a built-in GPS function? Your choice depends entirely on your activity and the extra functions (besides positioning) that you want. For example, marking waypoints, navigating back to your point of departure, creating your own routes… The sky is the limit. Literally, in fact. After all, GPS works with the assistance of American, Russian and/or European satellites which send signals to your device. You just need to watch out in buildings, tunnels or under water: a clear view of the sky is essential for good reception!
