With the icon “SALEWA Committed”, the brand has defined its new guidelines and criteria representing the commitment of the brand to protect the environment and all people who play a part in the manufacturing and use of its products, including the communities along the supply chain. To receive the icon “SALEWA Committed”, a product has to fulfill both mandatory criteria - Chemical verified and Social Audit- and at least one additional criteria among PFCS free, upcycled, recycled content, responsibly sourced down – RDF certified and natural/ renewable materials. A long way to go, but the brand is improving step by step. SALEWA wants its consumers to know what they are buying.
