Mammut

Safety and innovation: these are the two things that are key to Mammut, one of the oldest outdoor brands in the world. Mammut has been designing and producing everything that mountain lovers could ask for since 1862. The Mammut collection contains everything you need to go campingclimbingskiing and snowboarding, and any other activity in which you're heeding the call of the outdoors. Whatever you prefer, it's all good, as long as there's a mountain view nearby!

This Swiss brand was founded in the heart of the Alps, and you can feel it in every fibre. Simply combine a Mammut T-shirtfleece and coat or jacket to create the ultimate three-layer system. Add a tough pair of trousers, some handy accessories and a pair of invincible hiking shoes into the mix, and you're all set to head out on a trek that will linger long in your memory.

The high-quality standards set by Mammut do not just apply to its clothing and gear, but also to the environment and working conditions. Mammut uses fair-trade and organic cotton and recycled materials. The company also applies strict controls to the origins of the down it uses. In 2018, the Mammut set up We Care: a plan to lift its social engagement to a whole different level. Animal welfare, a smaller carbon footprint and (ethically) responsible production come first in everything it does!

Mammut was originally a small family business founded in 1862 by Kaspar Tanner, a talented ropemaker. The company soon went from strength to strength based on the ropes it produces for climbing, sailing and other sports. In 1970, it added sleeping bags, clothing and tents to its range to become the brand we all know and love today — a brand that's absolutely alpine!
