About Le Chameau - Le Chameau, Master boot maker since 1927 Since our first pair of boots was hand-made by master saddler and bootmaker Claude Chamot in 1927, a combination of artisan craftsmanship and the highest quality raw materials have together defined the Le Chameau boot.
Each pair of Le Chameau boots is unique: hand crafted by an individual master boot maker.
In both our workshops, our patent manufacturing processes are the same, ideas developed by Mr Chamot are still used.
Pioneer, Le Chameau was the first brand to combine leather with rubber, the first to place a zip or a gusset on a rubber boot. Several calf sizes and hundreds of forms are used to make handmade semi custom boots…a quest for innovation always at the heart of its development.
With its 90 years of legacy and know-how, Le Chameau bases its reputation on unique products, designed for country men and women whether they are passionate about shooting, fishing or simply enjoy being out in the countryside.
