Product information

Insulated with 600-fill-power Recycled Down, reclaimed from used duck and goose down products, the Bivy Down Jacket provides the perfect combination of warmth and durability when the weather offers nothing but indecision. Its tough but flexible 100% recycled polyester plain weave shell looks and feels like cotton to keep you wrapped in all-day comfort and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish resists water and abrasion. The tough shoulder yoke, made with 100% recycled nylon, has a PU coating for durability and a DWR finish. Inside, a lightweight 100% recycled polyester taffeta liner adds a skin-friendly feel and a smooth, snag-free glide when worn over layers; it has a PFC-free DWR finish (durable water repellent coating that does not contain perfluorinated chemistry). Side-entry handwarmer pockets have a brushed polyester lining for next-to-skin comfort, and an internal zippered left-chest pocket keeps your keys and phone secure. The stand-up collar, drop-tail hem and snap-front placket with an internal wind flap hold out the cold while you work. Hip length. Fair Trade Certified™ sewn.

Washing down clothing

Down has unique insulating properties. You can take certain precautionary measures to retain these properties while washing your clothing. Always check the garment labels before washing for specific instructions. It's important to use a special down detergent. Never use fabric softener. When washing waterproof garments with down, always use a down detergent.

Drying down clothing

Down products must be dried in a special way. It's best to place down garments in the dryer at the lowest setting with a few tennis balls. You must wash and dry the items in a spacious drum. You can also allow your jacket to dry on a flat surface. Shake it our regularly so that the feathers do not clump together.

It's best to impregnate the outer layer of your jacket with a spray.
