This is a beautifully designed pack, I knew well what I was buying and why such a pack, but see the negatives.
It turns out that the pack is useless for me. I realized this only after a long day tour in the Italian Alps where I am right now while writing these lines.
The reason: the adjustable shoulder harness implies an edge on the upper perimeter of the backpanel mesh. Well, this perimeter is kicking my shoulder bones on the back and make pressure, and after some time this becomes painfull. In fact, I made a photo of my back where I clearly see the two areas that were under the mentioned pressure.
There is no way to know about this when you try the pack in some shop, it comes later when you carry the load. I have been using Deuter's packs with such a trampoline mesh for decades, never any issue. Pity.
