Lightweight multifunctional and approach boot with a slightly wider fit for leisurely activities on easy terrain and in everyday life. The tip is protected from sharp rocks and scree by rubber. The rubber heel clip reinforces the heel support. The super-lightweight EVA wedge ensures butter-soft cushioning, while the gripex sticky rubber approach sole adds to comfort and grip.

  • The patented Mammut sole concept with customized support and cushioning to support natural foot roll, and thus prevent fatigue (danger of twisting).
  • Velours leather, or suede leather, is obtained by an internal split of the hide/skin. Thanks to its rough surface structure it is highly abrasion resistant and breathable. Depending on the required finish, Velours leather can be waxed, brushed or left untreated.
  • Asymmetric lacing adapts to the foot’s anatomy and enhances precise footwork as more pressure can be applied to the big toe.
  • An amazingly light, pleasantly soft midsole material fashioned from compression-moulded EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) with excellent damping properties.
  • The softer rubber mix helps to massively increase adhesion and grip on all surfaces. The only disadvantage: the rubber sole becomes flatter faster…
  • This sole has been developed for stable movement on demanding alpine terrain and therefore includes a very soft gripex sticky rubber blend, which offers effective grip on a slippery surfaces. The large Climbing Zone at the tip means it is very adhesive on rocks; the central, hexagonal lugs offer optimum grip in all directions; and the large edge lugs provide stability and lateral support together with good self-cleaning properties.

Caring for leather shoes

By caring for your hiking shoes, you will enjoy many years on the trail together. It’s important to clean your shoes after every hike with a brush and water. Do not use a heat source to dry them. If necessary, use a specialized shoe cleaner.

After a while, the exterior fabric of the shoe will start to absorb water. Apply a new water repellent coating on your clean shoes with the Granger’s shoe spray.

Full-grain leather shoes need leather conditioner or wax to stay prevent drying out. It’s also possible to use a conditioner when your suede or nubuck shoes dry up, but this will change the appearance of the shoe.

Only use products that are suitable for leather shoes. Carefully read the instructions of the maintenance product.
