If you like to take a little more than just the bare essentials when you're hiking in the mountains, the ORBIT 34 PACK RECCO is the right pack for you. As an added safety feature, the pack is equipped with a RECCO chip. The chip makes it easier for the rescue services to locate you in an emergency, even in poor visibility. There's no need to recharge the chip or register your details anywhere as the system just works automatically. A growing number of search and rescue organisations are already equipped with RECCO detectors. The current geographic coverage includes most of the Alps, and the system is also widely used in Austria, Scandinavia, the USA and Canada. When you're hiking on rough trails or steep mountain paths, the ORBIT RECCO packs provide the perfect combination of comfort, mobility and excellent ventilation. The ACS back system makes the pack comfortable to carry on demanding terrain. The only contact point with your back is the air permeable mesh, and there is a gap between it and the body of the pack. So the pack gives a snug, secure carry, and your back doesn't sweat too much. You can stow your down jacket, snacks and other large items in the main compartment. There is also space for a water bladder in there. Small items can be stashed in the front pocket or the lid compartment, which has a wide opening for easy access. There are practical zipped pockets on the waist belt for your energy bars and anything else you need to keep close to hand. The right-hand pocket can be converted to a bottle pocket: simply undo the zip and unfold the mesh pouch. An elasticated retainer loop in the pocket holds the bottle securely in place.
