The Dunfri is a lightweight down-free insulation at it's best. PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Eco 100g will keep you warm in the coldest of environments while Spinner Ripstop adds durability and water repellency. Not using down as insulation has more benefits; it makes the garment quick drying and the birds can keep their featers. The classic Houdini Dunfri has a bit longer fit to work better if worn together with a shell jacket. Under arm-panel and pre-bent sleeves to create a better armlift for complete freedom of movement. The Dunfri can be worn while heading up the mountains, but still doesn't make you look lost when you're commuting to work. Made primarily from recycled fibers, recyclable, fluorocarbon free & Bluesign-certified - it also pushes the development in terms of minimizing environmental impact. When it's worn out, you can bring it back to Houdini for either recycling or to be sold in our second hand store.

Washing waterproof garments

Always review the jacket labels before washing for specific washing instructions. We recommend that you wash your waterproof jacket with a technical detergent on a regular basis. This prevents damage to the waterproof layer. Rise it out well so that there are no soap residues. Never use fabric softener.

Impregnating waterproof garments

When you impregnate your jacket, it is a good idea to put it in the dryer after washing it. This reactivates the water repellent layer on the outside. After several washes, the outside of your garment will absorb moisture. The jacket will become heavy and feel cold and clammy. When that happens, it is time to impregnate the jacket. Use a product made for the washing machine or choose a spray.
