Great hiking GPS unit

3" screen very good in the sun light. Good for Geocaching Have not tried BirdsEye view yet. See my Minpunten for tips on how to improve the battery life in the Discussion Forum or GPSrChive. Important to setup Expedition Mode

My first test with the GPSMAP 66S while Geocaching the battery did run down fast. Was using the default setting when I did the test. Found this forum for the GPSMAP 66S https://www.gpsrchive.com/GPSMAP/GPSMAP%2066/index.htm Was able to setup the 66S correctly and now battery life is very good. User's should go to this forum to help with the setup of their 66S.
